Doula services focus on providing emotional, physical, and informational support to the birthing person before, during, and shortly after childbirth. Doulas are non-medical professionals who complement the clinical care provided by medical staff. They offer:
Prenatal Support: Assistance in creating birth plans, providing education on childbirth and early parenting, and preparing the family for the arrival of the baby.
Labor Support: Continuous, hands-on comfort measures like massage, positioning for labor progress, and emotional support to both the birthing person and their partner.
Postpartum Visits: Support after the birth, including help with breastfeeding, newborn care tips, and postpartum recovery.
Includes:
Prenatal Check-ins (3): Education on childbirth processes, assistance in creating a birth plan, and preparation for the physical and emotional aspects of childbirth.
Birth Support: Continuous emotional support, physical comfort measures, and advocacy during labor and delivery to support the birthing person's wishes.
Postpartum Check-ins (2): Assistance with the initial stages of breastfeeding, emotional support to navigate the postpartum period, and strategies for newborn care.
I would love to learn all about your desires for birth and see if I am the best person to support you on this journey.
